It's through tears of joy that I write this blog. Dr. Peeler came in our room right around 3pm. He says that Trent came through surgery and is doing fine.
He was not able to close his chest cavity yet. However, that is not unusual. Trent will be heavily sedated at least through the weekend until they can get it closed up. All that keeps going through our minds is how we have asked for and welcomed all of these prayers which you all have lifted up on our behalf...and God has answered them just according to our desire. God doesn't always heal on this side of eternity...but so far he has allowed us to have what we wanted for Baby Trent. That is a successful surgery. I could not fight back the tears as he finished giving us the good news. I just wanted to shout and give him a big hug. Thank you God for allowing us to have such a wonderful team here at the hospital working with our son.
We are about to get to go see him for the first time since his surgery. Thank you all again for all the prayers...we know that the road is still going to be bumpy and long, but we are excited to see what God is going to do with Trent. We are soooo thankful for the blessings we have received already. We serve a mighty GOD!

I am so happy to hear that things continue to go so smoothy for little Trent. I pray that God continues to lay his healing hands on Trent! (and you, I hope that you are recovering well) We can't wait to see that sweet baby boy come rolling down Dolly Rose Road!
