Today has been another good day for Trent. He continues to eat really well. He gained another 30 grams yesterday so he is now 10 grams over his at birth weight of 8 lbs.
The doctor did another echo this morning to make sure Trent's heart is doing what it supposed to do so far. He said everything looked good. Everything is still on schedule to go home tomorrow. Praise God!!!
As we prepare to go home, we would like to pass on some information that will be extremely helpful to everyone, but mostly to Trent. We are as excited as everyone else to bring Trent home tomorrow, or whatever day it might be. We also want people to be able to see him and visit him, however visiting has to be limited. We ask you to please call before coming over to make sure the time is good for Trent. We also ask that you do not come for a visit if you are sick or have been around anyone who is sick. And please do not be offended when we ask you those questions. Please feel free to call, text, e-mail, etc. anytime, to check and see how things are going. A lot of struggles begin for HLHS babies when they themselves get sick from something as small as a cold. Although Trent is stronger, his immune system is still very weak and prone to germs, bacteria and the smallest of sickness going around. We will not be taking Trent anywhere where there is a lot of people; church, birthday parties, etc., and no, not even Wal-Mart, at least not for a while. This is simply to protect him until he gets stronger which may take several months. Some doctors say to wait until after the second surgery which will be somewhere around 5-6 months old.
We do not want to offend anyone or hurt anyone's feelings. We are following doctors orders and trying to take as many precautions as possible. We are asking you, family and friends, to help us out with this. As Trent progresses, get's stronger and grows, there will be plenty of time for everyone with Trent. Please continue to pray as we complete another step in Trent's journey.

Welcome home "Lil Man". Looking at the posted pictures, you sure are a handsome young man, just like your brother Braxton and your Dad. And yes, your beautiful mom had a major roll to play in this for sure. Our God has blessed you my friend and may your life be filled with Joy, Peace and Contentment. No doubt you are in God's favor, so "let your little light so shine" (Matt. 5:16) as God continues to bless you. You have brought such joy and happiness into the world already just by the miricles we have witnessed in your life, to God be the Glory. Father God, you really are Holy and we offer to you our praises and graditude. To you Father God, be the Glory forever and ever. I love you Lil Man.
