There's No Place Like Home

We feel like Dorothy from The Wizard of OZ, there really ain't no place like home.  We haven't posted in almost two weeks now.  We forgot how much things change when you have a newborn baby at home.
We have spent the last couple weeks getting used to being at home again.  Trent has gotten really comfortable and is doing great.  Between the cardiologist, pediatrician and the home health care nurse we are seeing doctors about three times a week.  All say that Trent is doing really well.  He continues to gain weight, too much to be exact.  The doctors say they have never had that problem before.  Usually it's a struggle getting HLHS babies to gain weight.  He has grown one and a half inches so he is now twenty one and a quarter inches long.  His scars have healed up really nicely.  God is still amazing us everyday with Trent's progress.

Braxton is doing really well also.  He loves having a little brother.  He plays with Trent often and loves to hold him.  Trent likes it too.  He is very content in Braxton's arms.

Thank you so much for your continued support.  We have been truly humbled by the gifts, food, prayers, etc..  You  have no idea what the support has meant to us and how much it has strengthened us.  Thank you.

Trent is progressing right along.  The doctors are still looking at 5-6 months old for Trent's second surgery.  It just depends on how fast Trent grows.  It's hard to believe he still needs surgery.  Too look at him, he is as normal as any baby you'll ever see.  Continue to pray for us as we keep moving forward.  We love each one of you for your support and prayers.

Kenny and I are so pleased that Trent is doing so well. He truly looks to be the picture of health and Braxton surely is the proud big brother. God is good and he will help you all as Trent grows strong for the next surgery. God bless you all.
Love,
