Time to Recover

Trent came out of surgery just before noon. The surgeon says that he did perfect. We got to go back and visit with him just a little while ago.  The nurses say that he is doing well by all of his numbers (blood pressure, oxygen saturations and such).
They were allowing him to wake up some to hopefully let him be taken off the ventilator. As he was waking up, we could tell that he was either agitated or feeling a little pain. Although he cannot make noise we could see the little tears rolling down his face. Since he was agitated it was making his heart work a little harder than they like it to. They decided to give him some pain meds to make him comfy and keep him on the vent a little longer to give his heart a chance to rest a little. It is difficult as a mama, not to know if he is in pain. However, the nurse assures us that he is right where they expect him to be.

We are very thankful for all the doctors and nurses here at Levine. Everyone who works here is nothing but nice...from surgeons, doctors, nurses, front desk, cafeteria....everyone! Of course, no one wants to be in the hospital, but I would recommend this place to anyone who HAD to be here.

Again, We are so very thankful for all the texts, voice mails, emails, calls, and most of all the prayers. We know God has him covered.

With big love for our little heart -

Wayne and Holly

You have been on my mind all yesterday and back on it this morning. Lifted you all up to our Lord. I can't remember what day is worse after surgery but TODAY I hope you get to hold that little tiger and whisper sweet things in his ear! Love you all. WCatledge
