Tomorrow is a big day for Trent. He will be having his pre-Fontan heart catheterization. This is a routine, outpatient procedure that takes place shortly before surgery is scheduled. The doctors want to make sure there are no surprises when he goes in for surgery. Therefore, they do this procedure ahead of time to get a good look around at everything that is going on with Trent's heart. Tomorrow we also hope to get a word with the surgeon in order to go ahead and schedule his third (and final planned) surgery!!!
Trent is very curious about his cath. He's been asking some questions. But he seems to be quite okay with it.....much more relaxed about it than we are. I suppose that he knows how much support and prayers that have been going up on his behalf. God's got him covered.
We have a small favor to ask of you all who have Team Trent shirts. We would love for you all to wear them in honor and support of him tomorrow. He loves to look at pics on our phones and computers, so it would be great if you would text us or post pics on facebook of you wearing them. We will likely be in the hospital most of the day. It will give him something to look forward to and help take his mind off of everything going on.
As always, we cannot thank you all enough for all the prayers, calls, texts and concerns you have shared. They are greatly appreciated and stay close to our hearts. Team Trent is awesome!!
