Hello guys and gals -
We've been hard at work trying to revamp the blog and get her back in working good working condition. There are still a few kinks to work out. However, we wanted to go ahead and shoot you all an update on Trent.
Trent went to see his cardiologist in early September. We thought that he may say that since Trent is such a big boy and gets winded pretty easily, that we'd be facing his third operation this fall. However, Dr. Herlong took one look at Trent and told us that he looked GREAT. Well, yeah he looks great...I mean, he is the cutest little two year old you've ever seen! But heart-wise, he is looking "exceptionally well", as the doc said. Trent did so great at the appointment, he even let us get an echo-cardiogram of his heart. That showed the doctor what he needed to say that we are not looking at surgery until late spring/early summer 2014!!! That was the best news I've heard all year. We are so proud of how well Trent is doing. It is not hard to tell that he has lots of prayers going up on his behalf. And we are so grateful for that.
Otherwise, Trent is a normal, sweet, wild, into everything, two year old little boy. He loves his big bro, Braxton with all his heart. And big bro is very sweet and patient with Trent. He likes to spend time with his many loved ones, eat "choc-a-dut" and cake, and ride the lawn mower. And if you ever meet Trent, he will want to know if you have a truck and if so, where it is. Yes, he is a true southern boy!
We hope to keep you all updated more often. There is a 5k benefiting Levine Children's Hospital coming up in October. Trent and his special heart friends will have a team named for them. Look for more in upcoming posts so that you can come out and run or walk or hang out in honor of our special heart fellows.
And again, as always, thank you for your support and prayers! They truly mean the world to us.
Heart hugs,
Wayne and Holly
