Merry Christmas from a very special half-a-heart hero guy! Trent has been doing so well lately. We are so very thankful that he has been so well throughout the cold and flu season so far. Right now he does have a pretty nasty cough/cold thing going on, but we think it's just one of those normal kid things. (hopefully)
Since then, Trent had his first haircut...so he looks like a little boy now and everyone in public doesn't say, "she is so cute" anymore. He has been to the mountains for his first camp out in a tent. He loved the campfire and sleeping on the air mattress, as well as hanging out by the creek. He also took his first long car ride in November when we went down to BAMA for his big bro and daddy to watch the game. Although he did not go to the game, he and I had a good time hanging out around the campus and playing on the lawn in front of the stadium. He's also taken a couple of trips to the beach where he enjoys eating sand and hanging out with good friends. Recently he was able to hang out with his heart hero buddy, Murphy. Murphy is doing great also, and we are very thankful for that!!
Also, a couple of months back, A few of us ran a 5k race to honor Trent at Levine Children's Hospital. It was a cool day, but Trent came out and represented well for our HLHS heroes. We hope to put a team together next year for the event.
As for the daily stuff...Trent enjoys hanging out with his grandparents as he gets to do whatever he wants and eat whatever he wants when he is with them. He also loves hanging out with this big bro, Braxton and pretty much repeating anything he says. We get to hear his version of "ring around the rosy" several times a day. He has fun running around outside and exploring the neighborhood on walks with Mom and Dad. And now he has graduated to cuddling with "Brudder" in the big bed when he's ready for bed.
We wish you all a very Merry Christmas! Thank you so much for the continued prayers and encouragement that we still hear about all the time. The support has been amazing, and it doesn't go unnoticed.

As for what has been going on...Sorry for keeping everyone hanging there in September about his ECHO. It went really great. The cardiologist says that his heart function looks great. He did not have a side-by-side comparison to see if it was a lot better than his last ECHO. However, it was good enough that we do not need to go back for a whole YEAR!! Thank goodness! He will continue to take his heart function medication for the next year to be sure that his function keeps up the good work.
