We're finally back with another update, although not much has changed. It's hard to update a lot when everything is staying the same. Trent continues to do really good.
He is still growing and gaining weight consistently. His oxygen levels are staying in the mid to high 70's which is normal. We have noticed at times Trent's breathing sometimes seems to be a little more labored, but not a lot. He is currently getting over the croup. His cough for the last couple weeks has sounded horrible but he seems to be getting over it. Trent color still looks normal. At times it has a purple tint to it which is normal also. He is a very happy baby. He loves to laugh and smile. He still loves being outside. He is now rolling over on his own and grabbing anything he can get his hands on. He "baby talks" a lot. He is still seen everyday week by his in home care nurse and every two weeks by a physical therapist to help him get ahead with his movement. When he has his second surgery, he will probably get a little behind with his movement so getting him ahead now will only help.
Braxton still does really good with Trent. He is an awesome big brother. Braxton loves Trent a lot and tells him all the time. I think Trent is learning how much he is loved, even as young as he is, he still knows.
Still not sure yet when his second surgery will be. The doctors want to do it before RSV season kicks in which is late September and into October from what we are told. Going by that we are thinking it will be in the next couple months although no doctor has told us that. He goes back to the cardiologist on August 24 I believe so hopefully we will have a plan then for round two.
Lastly, it is amazing how much you learn about yourself and how much closer you can grow to our amazing God, if we allow it, when facing tough situations in life. We have seen and experienced God in new ways over the last six months. He loves us and we see and feel that. We feel closer to our God every time we look at Trent, and of course Braxton too. He has taught us all over again how to love our kids and how to take advantage of everyday He gives us.
Trent is letting me know it is time to go. He has awaken from his nap and beginning to exercise his lungs. Continue to pray for us.
